Malczyce Hydropower Plant on the Oder River

Malczyce barrage consists of a 300m wide weir, 260 m long spillway, fish passage and a navigation lock – 190m long and 12m wide. The Project will include construction of a drainage system, drainage canal and pumping station.

Basic technical parameters of Hydropower Plant:

  • installed discharge of 3 Kaplan turbines: 250 m3/s
  • installed power capacity: 9.0 MW
  • acceptable head range: 4.4 m ¸ 6.4 m
  • average production: 48 900 MWh/year
