Multi-variant concept of improving the flood safety of the Wolica Canal catchment area

The Consortium led by DHV Hydroprojekt will carry out a multi-variant concept of improving the existing hydrological system in order to ensure flood safety of the areas around the Wolicki Canal (“Rów Wolica”) in Warsaw.

“Rów Wolica” (Canal Wolicki) is one of the tributaries of the Służewiecki Stream, the main watercourse of natural origin, located within Ursynów and Wilanów (on the area of the former Vistula floodplain). The stream is powered mainly by a storm collector located at Płaskowicka Street, which collects rainwater from Ursynów. “Rów Wolica” connects with the Służewiecki Stream near Arbuzowa street.

The task is to adapt the existing hydrological system to safely drain rainwater from the Ursynów area. The current capacity of the Wolica Canal is not sufficient.

The scope of works concerns the “Rów Wolica” catchment and the storm water drainage network.
