Smardzewice Hydropower Plant on the Pilica river

Sulejow consists of the earthfill dam with concrete screen, the 60 m long spillway, reservoir of storage capacity of 75 mln m3/s, water intake from reservoir (3.25 m3/s) for municipal and agriculture purposes.

Basic technical parameters of Hydropower Plant:

  • installed discharge of 2 Kaplan turbines: 48 m3/s
  • installed power capacity: 3.6 MW
  • turbine rotor diameter: 2 m
  • acceptable head range: 5.6 ¸ 10.8 m
  • average production: 13.3 GWh/year
